If you don’t know Daniel Lanois, you definitely know the albums he’s produced. The Maker is one of my favorite songs EVER especially this cover by Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris:
I found out about his new project Black Dub when I was scanning the Bowery Presents calendar. I’m 100% going to this show and I don’t even care if actually have to pay for it. The music is funky, soulful, jazzy, and bluesy while maintaining the Lanois sound that I have grown to love. Also, a great addition to the band, is the Brooklyn singer Trixie Whitley.
